Eric William Smith of Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on June 23rd just after a transient fight with glioblastoma. He will be enormously skipped by his family members and good friends.

Eric was many issues to several persons. He was a loving and generous father and associate, he was a competent mechanic and trainer, and he was a traveller and a connoisseur of high-quality. Most of all, he was interested. Rapid to chatting and friendship, he liked suffering from men and women, and he loved no one particular much more than his five grandchildren.

Eric is a Mason. This was an important part of his life in Edmonton, and a thing that he shared with his father, who was also a Mason.

Eric was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, on April 20, 1955. Growing up in the Yukon gave Eric and his buddies the fantastic playground. Eric remained linked to his Northern house during his daily life, paying most of his vacations at the family members home around Atlin, BC.

Eric cherished to know how things worked and a youngster was acknowledged to overhaul his bike engines on his mother’s kitchen area table, a great deal to her dismay. That desire in taking issues aside (and putting them back collectively!) led Eric to pursue a occupation in weighty duty mechanics. His selected career took him all over the Yukon, Alaska, Northern BC and Alberta. Eric concluded his vocation as an apprentices’ instructor at NAIT.

Eric was an avid motorcyclist during his daily life and savored a great number of adventures on his beloved Harley with his mates.

Eric is survived by his sons Michael (spouse Hitoha, kids Noel and Emma) and Matthew (associate Serah, little ones Lennan, Stella, and Archer). He is also survived by his girlfriend Luetta and his sister, Marilyn.

In lieu of bouquets, the family members requests that a donation be made in Eric’s name to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
